I want to invite all of you to join me for a Peachpit Photo Club presentation on June 28, 2011 from 8 to 9 p.m. ET (5 to 6 p.m. PT). I’ll be discussing the basics of composition, light, contrast, and textures. I’ll be providing insight into when I choose to go black and white. Then I’ll be discussing how I leverage Adobe Lightroom and Silver Efex Pro 2 to create my black and white images.
To be honest, I’ve never done one of these online broadcasts before, so I’m freaking out a bit. At the very least, it might be entertaining to listen to me put my foot in my mouth a few times. But truly, I am looking forward to interacting with all of you. If you have a question about photography, I would love to hear them. I have no problems fielding questions ranging from: how I get the image, gear I use, my philosophy and processing techniques, to a marketing question or two. I’ll do my best to answer all the questions by the end of our session. Just sit back on your couch and let the photo therapy begin… 😉
Just to make you feel like you’re back in school.
We’ll be assigning homework at the end of the Photo Club session. Once the assignment is completed, Photo Club members can upload their work to the Peachpit Photo Club Flickr Group where the Peachpit crew and I will help critique your work. As an incentive to participate, three assignment “winners” will receive 10 black and white prints (up to 10X15 in size) each from the fabulous folks at AdoramaPix!
I hope to see you folks there.
