I’m happy to announce that my book on Travel and Street Photography is finally complete and the last chapter is off to the printer. The eBook will be available in the coming weeks, and the printed version shortly thereafter. It’s my hope the book proves to be a valuable resource for anyone who’s ever wanted to improve their travel or street photography.
The reality is there are more photographers and fewer barriers to entry today than ever before. This book isn’t about making it rich as a travel photographer or how to land your next gig. Instead, it's a plain spoken, easy to understand guide that takes you from the very basics of equipment, planning, composition, and exposure to how I approach urban and rural environments. I even spend some time discussing the advantages of observing vs. engaging with subjects, as well as an in-depth look at the legalities of street photography. The book is loaded with good information including links to download some of my favorite forms, releases, and presets.
I wrote this book with the beginner to intermediate photographer in mind. It's my hope that you’ll find the book to be a resource loaded with useful information, personal experiences, valuable assignments, and helpful tips. Whether your passion is for travel photography, street photography, or both, your top goal should be to enjoy yourself. It’s a gift to be able to follow a passion and create art at the same time! Hopefully this book will become one of many essential tools in helping you along your creative path. At the end of the day, your success is my success.
If you have any questions regarding the book feel free to leave a comment or email me directly using the contact form. Thanks again for all your valuable support. I’m off for two back-to-back NYC street photography workshops, then to our Death Valley photography workshop in November for four days focusing on landscape photography. Oh how I do love extremes 🙂
